On September 8, Environment Minister Han Wha-jin visited Naengcheon in Pohang-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, which was flooded by the typhoon Hinnamnor. During her visit, the minister discussed ways to improve the river to prevent a recurrence. 

The minister visited the Guryongpo Sewage Treatment Plant in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, on the same day to survey the damage inflicted by the typhoon. She also visited Guryongpo Market in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, to survey the damage inflicted by the typhoon and asked to repair the damage.
