The event was held at the Metropolitan Electronics Recycling Center in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do. The Minister stated in her congratulatory speech, "We hope that the agreement will serve as a catalyst for the widespread adoption of plastic-free practices in all sectors of the economy and society." The Minister also visited the Metropolitan Electronics Recycling Center and toured the recycling processing site, where electrical and electronic products are dismantled and sorted by material type for resource circulation.
