On May 22, Environment Minister Han Wha-jin attended and delivered a commemorative speech at the commemoration ceremony of "2023 Biodiversity Day (Migratory Birds and Wetlands Day)." The event was held at Suncheon International Wetland Center in Suncheonman Bay National Garden. After the ceremony, the Minister participated in a performance that proposed eight everyday practices for biodiversity conservation. The event was attended by other notable individuals, including Suncheon Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu and Director Song Myung-dal of the Marine Policy Office at the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.
