On the afternoon of August 27 local time, Environment Minister Han Wha-jin participated in the signing ceremony of a letter of intent for collaborative projects between the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute and Oman's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources. The event took place in Muscat, Oman, and they jointly commemorated the occasion with a photograph.

The two ministers discussed cooperation plans related to desalination of seawater, freshwater production, and marine carbon sequestration.
