On May 8, Environment Minister Han Wha-jin met with representatives of Yeoncheon-gun residents at the Jung-myeon Administrative Welfare Center in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do. The Minister listened to their opinions regarding the crisis management system at the Imjingang River basin and stated, "The government will do our best in preventing flood damage in the Imjingang River basin."
