On October 14, Environment Minister Han Wha-jin visited the Namyang research center of Hyundai motors in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do. The minister discussed with industry officials Korea's response to the IRA of the U.S. and the government's policy to supply zero-emission vehicles. During her visit, the minister had a trial ride in a self-driving car, an electric vehicle, and a fuel-cell bus. She referred to the need to develop various types of zero-emission vehicles.
