On January 17, Minister of Environment Han Jeoung Ae visited the Korea Institute of Hydrological Survey (KIHS) in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, and inspected survey equipments. Minister Han also requested the KIHS to put its utmost effort into safety management when carrying out floodgate (flow rate) inspection work. 

An official explained the status of Gyeongin Ara Waterway to Minister Han during her visit to Korea Water & Environmental-Industry Corporation.
