Environment Minister Han Wha-jin attended the opening ceremony of the National Institute of Environmental Research's Chungcheongbuk-do Air Quality Research Center in Cheongju on March 28. At the event, the Minister expressed that the center would become a base for regional air research. Governor Kim Young-hwan of Chungcheongbuk-do and National Assembly member Byun Jae-il also attended the ceremony.
