On August 9, Environment Minister Han Wha-jin resided over an emergency meeting to check countermeasures against record torrential rain. The emergency meeting was attended by the flood control office, regional environment office, Korea Water Resource Corporation, and Korea National Park Service. She thoroughly checked the current status of the dam operation and response to torrential rain.
