On the morning of July 10, Environment Minister Han Wha-jin presided over a meeting at the support center located at the Hyundai Steel Dangjin Steel Plant. She met with representatives from Hyundai Steel, KOSA, and other steel processing companies to discuss their response to the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) in the steel industry. During the meeting, she stated, "In a climate where global carbon trade barriers are intensifying, the government will provide comprehensive support to ensure that our companies can enhance their carbon competitiveness without losing their export capabilities."
