Environment Minister inspected the recovery efforts at the sites of concentrated heavy rain damage in Yecheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do

On the afternoon of July 19, Environment Minister Han Wha-jin visited the Yecheon Water Treatment Plant in Gyeongsangbuk-do to respond to the inflow of turbid water caused by concentrated heavy rain. She encouraged the workers at the plant who are working tirelessly to provide clean water supply day and night, and urged them to thoroughly carry out facility operation and inspection to ensure uninterrupted water supply for the residents.


On the afternoon of July 19, Environment Minister Han Wha-jin visited the site of water supply pipeline damage caused by concentrated heavy rain to inspect the recovery situation. She urged the utmost efforts in the restoration work to quickly resume water supply to households affected by the disruption, while emphasizing the importance of prioritizing the safety of the workers above all else.


On the afternoon of July 19, Environment Minister Han Wha-jin visited a village in Yecheon-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do to comfort the residents affected by the heavy rain. She promised to make every effort to minimize the inconvenience faced by the residents who have been physically and mentally exhausted from the damages and the discomfort of staying in temporary shelters due to the concentrated heavy rain. In addition, the Ministry of Environment provided support in the way of drinking water supplies and mobile laundry and shower vehicles.
