SUDOKWON Landfill Site Management Corporation reduced offensive odor, noise in night time and the amount of soil for reclamation worth of 6 hundred million Korean won, according to the press release.  

The Corporation changed the practice to bring in garbage during nighttime to daytime in order to better monitor loading and transporting practice since April.  As a result, offensive odor caused by leachate dropping from garbage trucks is mitigated and noise level near the route of garbage trucks is reduced from 65.3 to 54.6 dB, which is lower than the environmental standard(55dB).  Since April, no civie complaints have filed relating to those problems.  

Illegal dumping has also reduced due to more detailed and accurate monitoring, and effective landfill has practiced, resulting saving soil for reclamation worth of 6 hundred million won.  

According to a survey by the Corporation, 85% of neighbors answered that the offensive odor and nighttime noise have mitigated in their neighborhood.
