More than 7000 trees planted in SLC in celebration of the Arbor Day

More than 350 people from the Ministry of Environment, and its four affiliate facilities- National Institute of Environmental Research, Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation(SLC), Environment Management Corporation, and Korea Resources Recovery & Reutilization Corporation gathered at SLC to celebrate the 58th Arbor Day.

This Arbor Day event is part of the SLC's "Dream Park" project, which includes planting 10 million trees at the SLC to create a beautiful park in its empty landfill sites. This year, more than 350 people put their efforts together and succeeded in planting more than 7000 trees in those sites.

The participants in this event expressed that this has been such a meaningful event in strengthening ties among the Ministry and its affiliate institutions as well as realizing the importance of environmental preservation in our nation.
