For promoting a preferential purchase of recycled products by public institutions, a meeting sponsored by the Ministry of Environment and hosted by the Korea Resources Recovery & Reutilization Corporation is held at the Korea Teachers Pension in Yeouido on Nov. 22, 2002.

Up to 400 representatives from the central government complexes, local governments, public investment institutions, and affiliate institutions participated in this event, and certificates were awarded to those institutions with positive achievements in preferential purchases of recycled products.

The office supplies, building products and other recycling products will be exhibited during the meeting, and a CD with more detailed information on these products will be given out to the participants. Also, there will be a learning session for the new software on the management of the preferential purchase of recycled products by the public institutions.
