On the morning of July 13, Environment Minister Han Wha-jin concluded a business agreement with Chairman Choi Tae-won of the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) at Jeju Haevichi Hotel in Seogwipo, Jeju, for the establishment of a voluntary domestic carbon market and securing its integrity. The Minister stated, "Utilizing the Ministry of Environment's experience in operating emissions trading, we will communicate regularly with Hyundai's Carbon Credit Certification Center and successfully develop Korea's voluntary carbon market."
