Cyber Education for the Recycling Industry

Korea Resources Recovery & Reutilization Corporation produced an educational program to assist and provide services to the recycling industry in the areas of management and practical affairs. The service will be offered through the corporations homepage This educational program consists of ten subjects in four areas, which are the introduction to the EPR (Extended Producers Responsibility) system, the certification for proper management of wastes, tax and accounting practice revisions of 2003, and the support system for recycling enterprises. It is expected that the program will facilitate easier understandings toward newly established regulations and support measures for recycling company development. Since provided through the web, the service can be accessed from home or work at a convenient time. In addition, educational publications and other resources can be retrieved for the purposes of in and outside education and practical applications. The accomplishment of this cyber educational program required a two-year long development process. In this backdrop, it forecasts to continuously provide useful learning experiences for managers, employees, and future enterprisers of the recycling industry.
