For undertaking a study on experience and spirit of the Republic of Korea, the role model of economic development and democratization, for the environment of investment and business, for living in the Republic of Korea. K-LAW sought for various purposes by users from many countries around the world!
The Korea Law Translation Center (KLT) of the Korea Legislation Research Institute was established in 1992 with an objective to promote global understanding of K-LAW.
The KLT, a bridge connecting the world and K_LAW The KLT makes best effort to provide expeditious and accurate translation service.
Statutes translated by the KLT are provided conveniently through open API and user-oriented web service of statutes in English to assure global users of easy access.
The enthusiasm and spirit of K-LAW that will grow bigger and stronger by being shared by the world! The KLT is a bridge linking the world and K-LAW.
HISTORY
- 1992 English translation of Korean legislation started
- 2001 “Korean-English Glossary of Legal Terms” published
- 2010 "Center for Law Translation" for English translation of Korean laws established
- 2015 “Standards for Law Translation into English” published
- 2018 Reorganized as "Korea Law Translation Center" for multilingual translation support
