Overview

The National Institute of Environmental Human Resource Development (EHRD) is a specialized environmental education institution nurturing environmental professionals. The EHRD is educating about 10,000 central/local environmental government officials and private participants annually. Through a systematic education operation including education plan, implementation review and feedback, the institute has been enhancing participant satisfaction every year.


The EHRD is providing a differentiated education program for government officials, private participants, students, teachers and foreign participants considering features of participants and their work.



History

January 1980
Established as the Environmental Education Division under the National Environmental Protection Institute (NEPI), Environment Administration
January 1990
Re-organized as the Environmental Education Department with 2 divisions under the National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER), Ministry of Environment
January 1992
Separated as the Environment-related Officials Training Institute with 3 divisions under the Ministry of Environment
January 1999
Reincorporated as the Department of Environmental Training with 2 divisions into the NIER
July 2005
Re-organized as the Department of Environmental Training with 2 divisions under the NIER
February 2006
Separated as the National Institute of Environmental Human Resources Development (EHRD) with 2 divisions under the Ministry of Environment

  1. If you use Incheon International Airport Highway, you cannot go to the Comprehensive Environmental Park
  2. It is 2km to EHRD from the entrance of the Comprehensive Environmental Park.

  • If you use Highway outlining Seoul(Gyeyang IC)
  • After passing Incheon Gyeyang IC, go straight 10.2 km toward Incheon International Airport. You may see the signboard of the “Entrance of Comprehensive Environmental Park,” and please turn on the right.


If you use Highway outlining Seoul(Gyeyang IC)
  • If you use Highway outlining Seoul(Gyeyang IC)
  • After passing Incheon Gyeyang IC, go straight 10.2 km toward Incheon International Airport. You may see the signboard of the “Entrance of Comprehensive Environmental Park,” and please turn on the right.


If you use Gyeongin Highway(Seo-Incheon IC)
  • If you use Gyeongin Highway(Seo-Incheon IC)
  • After passing Seo-Incheon IC, enter the underground road and go straight 3 km. And then, you need to turn on the left at Gongchon Intersection and go straight 3.7 km toward Incheon International Airport. Then you may find the signboard of the “Entrance of Comprehensive Environmental Park and turn on the right to go in.


If you use Olympic Road and Landfill Site Road
(Exit of Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corp. Checkpoint is closed)
  • If you use Gyeongin Highway(Seo-Incheon IC)
  • Exit toward Bucheon(Road 39), Sudokwon Landfill Site at the IC in the south of Haengju Bridge and turn on the right to Landfill Site Road. And then, you need to go straight 11 km until you see Baekseok Overpass(There is LPG refueling station 1 km before the overpass.). And then, go under the overpass and turn on the left. After going straight 4 km, turn on the right at the Gongchon Intersection and go straight 3.7 km toward Incheon International Airport. If you see the signboard of the “Entrance of Comprehensive Environmental Park,” turn on the right.
