On the afternoon of August 16th, the Minister of Environment, Myung Rae Cho, paid a visit to the Jeonbuk Provincial Government Office and met with the Governor of Jeonbuk Province, Ha Jin Song, promised to start an immediate investigation on the appropriateness of dam management, to establish the measures in order to prevent recurrence, and requested cooperation from the metropolitan municipalities for early restoration of flood damage.
