▷ Global Green Hub Korea 2017 (GGHK 2017) will draw about 143 project developers and contractors from 41 countries across the globe including Asia and Latin America. Korean companies and overseas developers are expected to have business consultations on projects worth of 16.3 billion dollars in total.

▷ The Ministry of Environment and Korea Environment Industry & Technology Institute will sign a Memorandum of Understanding and a Letter of Intent to lay a groundwork for mutual cooperation.

The Ministry of Environment (Minister Kim Eunkyung), in collaboration with Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (KEITI), Incheon Metropolitan City and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), will hold the Global Green Hub Korea (GGHK) 2017 from September 4 to 7 at Songdo Convensia, Incheon.

Marking its 10th anniversary, GGHK 2017 is aimed at fostering collaboration between Korean environmental companies and major overseas contractors. This year's event is held in connection with the Environment & Energy Tech 2017, which will take place on September 6-7 in Busan to provide more opportunities to domestic companies to have business consolation with major project developers and contractors.

GGHK 2017 will attract 143 international project developers and contactors in 41 countries from Asia, Latin America and Africa as well as 500 participants from domestic green companies. And, the participants are expected to discuss contracts worth of 16.3 billion dollars.

On Day 1, high-level policymakers including Minister of Water, Irrigation and Energy of Ethiopia and Vice-Minister of Environment of Venezuela as well as representatives from international organizations such as the World Bank and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) will discuss ways to reinforce inter-governmental and public-private partnership on environmental policies and technological cooperation. 

In addition, various events such as Global Environment & Energy Vision Forum, Regional Business Briefing Sessions, Seminar on How to Write a Proposal for Environment Project of Multilateral Development Bank and Seminar on Global Natural Gas Vehicle will be offered.

At the Global Environment & Energy Vision Forum, UNEP, WB and AfDB will give special lectures on the future of sustainable environment and energy industry. At the Regional Business Briefing Sessions, latest information on green procurement plans of major countries by region and participation process will be provided.

And, at the Seminar on Writing a Proposal for Environment Project, a consultant from PwC and an expert from AfDB will give one-on-one consultation.

An American marketing research institute, Environmental Business International (EBI), forecasts that the global environmental market will grow to 1.33 trillion dollars by 2020. The Ministry of Environment will foster cooperation not only with overseas project contractors but also with international organizations in order to boost the competitiveness of domestic environmental companies.
