▷ Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (KEITI) was designated as a Green Certified Trading Company by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy for the first time among public institutions.

▷ KEITI aims to achieve the goal of USD 100 million exports this year.

Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute ("KEITI," president Nam Kwang-hee) under the Ministry of Environment became the first public institution to be designated as a Certified Trading Company (CTC) by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

There has been no certified trading company specialized in the field of environment, so environmental companies could not have fully benefited from the CTC system.

Small-and medium-sized environmental companies with outstanding technologies and products used to face difficulty in making inroads into the overseas market due to a lack of export manpower and expertise.

As KEITI will turn into a Green CTC, it will provide intensive support to domestic environmental companies based on its know-how and expertise.

Taking a further step from proving indirect support to companies through its export support projects, KEITI will serve as a hands-on trading company specialized in environment that exports quality products of environmental SMEs.

Based on capabilities and infrastructure to support export, KEITI will conduct on- and off-line marketing and consultation for market entry as well as provide a wide-range of support by giving preferential benefits for export insurance, credit guarantee and trading funds.

The institute will be the export agent for environmental companies to reduce export risks and help enhance their competitiveness in the global market by building trust on Korea's environmental products and technologies abroad.

By providing one-stop service to environmental SMEs with advanced technologies and products, KEITI aims to achieve USD 100 million exports this year. Moreover, it will develop a sustainable business model by making a representative export brand in environment and sharing a track record of export with SMEs.

Nam Kwang-hee, president of KEITI, said "we will become a capable trading company in the field of environment to sell excellent products of Korean environmental companies all over the world. By linking to existing export support projects, we will offer one-stop service for environmental companies to advance to the global market."
